We are excited to announce the the Salad Bowl Festival Run in on for this year!!!!  For a while we didn't think we'd be able to do it and so we had to hold off on announcing it.  But we just got the green light from the Guadalupe Sports Hall of Fame so all you runners out there visit the Run page of this site to sign up! 

The Guadalupe Sports Hall of Fame is once again teaming up with the Salad Bowl Festival to sponsor the run on October 22, 2011 at 9:00 am.  The course will begin at Central Park [not to be confused with NYC's Central Park, because that park is as big as our wonderful little town--if not a bit bigger :)] and continue out and back along the Santa Maria River Levee. Walkers are welcome for the 5k.

The entry fees are $40 for the 1/2 marathon and $20 for the 5k. All proceeds from the run will benefit the Guadalupe Sports Hall of Fame scholarships and youth programs.

Last year we had over 100 runners from locations near and far and we are expecting at least that many for this year! This year's Salad Bowl Festival is going to be a fantastic fun time for all. We are bringing live music, great food, Grease & Greens Car Show, and now our 1/2 marathon and 5k run! Can't wait to see you all there.
